You can’t help but have a great day when you’re sporting a dress covered in kittens riding around on unicorns. I picked up this fun dress from Silken Favours last year. In my typical fashion, it stayed in my wardrobe with the tag still on, just waiting for a special occasion, hanging out in that “forgotten” section full of indulgent buys I was too nervous to wear right away. But lately, I’ve turned to these “special” pieces more often. The need for loose and comfy clothes drew them out. My wardrobe finally saw the likes of a Vivienne Westwood silk jumpsuit and a Stella McCartney jumper dress making their debut, too!
Now, my Silken Favours dress is a kind of semi-tunic. It covers my bump nicely but is far too short to wear on its own. My newly developed, slightly doughy thighs wouldn’t do this dress any justice at the moment! They’ll need some serious body-brushing and squats after my little one makes their debut. But it’s a lifesaver, and I’m glad I grabbed it from storage for my temporary living arrangement.
As for my makeup in these pictures, I’m wearing L’Oreal Paris Infallible Foundation, the Silent Nude blusher from the NARS x Christopher Kane collection, Giorgio Armani Fluid Eye Tint in “Senseo,” and Laura Mercier’s Creme Smooth Lipstick in “Biscotti.” Biscotti may look like a too-orangey nude at first, but it’s surprisingly wearable and feels fantastic on the lips. The texture is wonderfully buttery. I’ll feature it in a video soon so you can see it for yourself! As for finding the Silken Favours dress, I bought mine directly from one of their pop-up shop events, but you can reach out to them for more info on where to find it. There’s even a similar shirt version on Net-a-Porter.
