I absolutely love this jacket from LK Bennett. It’s super chic, with a touch of Parisian style, almost like it’s Chanel-inspired. The design is elegant, featuring a boxy shape that fits well at the hips, textured tweed for a smart yet understated look, frayed trim for a vintage vibe, and polished buttons for a posh feel.
This jacket is a must-have for any wardrobe. If you often feel stuck in jeans but want to elevate your look, this jacket is a simple way to up your style game. It pairs well with flats like ballet pumps for a sophisticated look, with clean trainers for a casual style, or adds an edge with biker boots. No need for heels, though they do add something extra to any outfit.
LK Bennett offers this luxurious Charlee jacket in two colors: jet black, which is effortlessly stylish and goes with anything, and white with a black trim, which has a classic Chanel vibe but might not be as casual. The white one is less low-maintenance, though, especially if you tend to spill food like spaghetti or soup. I’m notorious for ruining white clothes quickly. From balsamic vinegar and ketchup to paint from a railing, I can find a way to stain anything.
Back to the jackets—the white-with-black one exudes a properly French style. I found a picture of Cameron Diaz rocking a similar white jacket with pale blue jeans and lovely coral heels.
The black Charlee jacket looks fantastic with my favorite denim pairings: black skinny jeans with tall heels, black skinny jeans with heeled biker boots, pale blue jeans with ballet pumps, colorful heels, or indigo jeans with pristine white trainers.
You can get the Charlee jacket at LK Bennett for £325, quite the investment, but much cheaper than buying a Chanel one. If you’re looking for similar ballet pumps, Office offers the Cecilia ones with quilted leather uppers and a patent toe cap, available in black.
Of course, if you can afford it, go for the double-C Chanel pieces and flaunt them. I find that pairing my Charlee jacket with my actual Chanel bag looks convincing. Although, someone once told me my tiny Chanel bag is actually a wallet on a chain, known officially as WOC. I mistakenly thought it was called a wallet on a string—which could be my knock-off version!
I stumbled upon a great styling piece about the Chanel jacket on a blog called Feather Factor. The Chanel bag featured is second-hand from Vestiaire Collective.
