Here it is, as promised, my new go-to series—a monthly roundup of the five beauty products I’m consistently using. I hope this helps anyone curious about what I rely on every day, instead of those fleeting lipstick obsessions and spontaneous face mask trials.
It’s quite challenging to cut down to my top five products, but I’ve become more analytical about my skincare routines and, mainly due to time constraints, pickier about what I test. This means trying out fewer things but for longer periods. I was never one to plow through heaps of skincare quickly since my face reacts if I frequently change routine or product type. I generally stick with core products and occasionally try something new every few weeks.
So, here are my top five for February. Some of these, like the Talika and Darphin balm, could have been on January’s list too if I’d had it compiled in time. However, the Cerave cleanser is a newcomer, and the Elemental Herbology eye cream is something I’m determined to finish so I can try something new! Not that there’s anything wrong with it—my rave review says it all—but having gone through several bottles, I know it like the back of my hand. I’m eager for a new cream or lotion to dive into. I have my eye on a retinol eye cream from Space NK and a pot of Skinceuticals cream. Hopefully, one of these will make an appearance in next month’s Most-Used video.
For all the details, check out the video. Just overlook my shaky camera work and the echo in my bathroom. Next time, I’ll be sure to use a tripod, and I’m on the hunt for a nice big rug for the floor to soften the sound. It feels like a tile-covered airplane hangar in there!
