I’ve received tons of kind comments about the dress I wore in my May Favourites video, and I have to say, those words really lifted my spirits. It’s a challenge to find nice outfits when you’re breastfeeding, especially with postpartum body changes making fashion choices tricky after having a baby. So, thank you all.
The dress is from Oasis, and I got it on ASOS for £48. They also offer a shirt version with the same print for £38, and I’m considering getting that too. The dress has a relaxed fit and is made from a rough, woven fabric, which is quite common for high street dresses right now, though I’m not sure why since it tends to be a bit sweaty. On the other hand, the shirt is described as having a soft, silky feel, which seems more appealing to me. The dress is versatile enough for various occasions, from summer weddings to work meetings.
As for the lipstick I’m wearing in the photo, it’s from the new L’Oreal Matte Addiction range, and the shade is called Hype. It’s a lovely, wearable orange-red. Many beauty brands release orangey lipsticks in their summer collections, though they often lean more red or hover right on the edge. This one boldly tips towards orange, and the matte finish adds a vintage touch. It’s an easy way to update your makeup without spending much, perfect for the warm months. The texture isn’t drying, and the color is richly pigmented. Just add some bronzer, a few layers of mascara, and this lipstick, and you’re ready to go.
