I’ve started my sweater shopping in full swing, trying to keep my heating costs low since my house seems to drain any warmth that comes in. Right now, I’m bundled up in a vest, a t-shirt, a long-sleeved tee, and a wool turtleneck jumper, and I’ve only just taken off my coat. I can’t wait for summer to arrive!
In the photo taken last fall or winter from my knitwear lookbook, I’m wearing a cardigan from Hush. They don’t offer that exact style anymore, but they have plenty of jumpers and cardigans you’d love. Here’s what’s on my sweater wishlist:
1) An Aran jumper from ASOS is currently 50% off, which is great news. There are more affordable options there too. I’m drawn to the moss green one – it’s a nice shade for blondes, right? Or maybe it’s too swampy? It’s priced at £19 on ASOS.com.
2) The Cashmere Blend Cable Round Neck Sweater from Uniqlo has caught my eye. I like the relaxed fit at the waist and its soft, almost lavender-grey color. The sleeves have fine ribbing that contrasts with the cable knit on the body, adding a subtle stylish touch. I often stock up on Uniqlo knitwear every winter, and this one’s already in my basket. It costs £29.90 at Uniqlo.
3) I’m debating whether to get the Noemie Punch Needle Boucle Knit from Whistles. The detailing at the neckline elevates it from a basic everyday sweater to something trendier. I love the unique chunky boucle texture. At £110, it’s pricier than my usual “throw it on” pieces, but I’m really tempted.
4) I’m a fan of anything soft, cozy, and with an animal print. I’ve worn my Whistles animal print sweaters from last year non-stop. This one from The Kooples seems chunkier and sturdier, but it’s also more expensive at £165. So, here’s my budget-friendly alternative…
5) Warehouse offers a similar style for £40. It resembles the Whistles sweater I already have but isn’t as thick. It’s cute and stylish and can easily be tucked into a skirt or high-waisted jeans for a vintage look. I’m planning to grab this one and maybe the red version too! You can find it at Warehouse.
