I’ve been making quick makeup videos for Instagram and YouTube and decided to start sharing them here. I love seeing transformations from plain to glamorous or from tired to lively. This video captures the entire makeup process, condensed into a one-minute clip for those of us who like things fast and concise.
For a quick product rundown for Instagram followers, here’s what I used:
1. Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation in 2N applied with the Vieve Foundation Brush. This foundation is a favorite for its glow and longevity, and it doesn’t leave a residue. If you prefer a matte look, Dior Forever is a great alternative. L’Oreal True Match is also a good option for a subtler glow and is easier on the wallet.
2. Instead of concealer, I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow for contouring and highlighting. It’s perfect for a refined, polished look but might be too much for a natural everyday vibe.
3. Rare Beauty Cream Blush in Rose applied with a Jones Road brush completes the skin routine.
4. I set my brows with Elnett hairspray using a Benefit brow brush. It’s a quick, inexpensive way to tidy your brows and give your eyes a lift.
5. For eyeshadow, I used the NARS Voyageur Palette in Suede, focusing on the top middle shade. I love this compact palette for its versatility. I applied darker shades along the lower lash line and created a small flick with the darkest shade.
6. I used an Armani mascara but wasn’t thrilled due to its thick brush, so I reverted to my trusted Telescopic.
7. For eyeliner, I used Hourglass’s Chestnut gel liner. It glides on easily and stays put for hours.
8. On my lips, I applied the Rare Beauty lip liner in Fun and the Code Eight AM/PM lip crayon in At The Barre. These lip colors are moisturizing and effortless to use.
Finally, I styled my hair with the Cloud9 wand for a retro look.
As I prepare for next month’s One Minute Makeup, I’m on a hunt for high street lipsticks, particularly nice pinks like Clinique’s Peony Pop. If you have any suggestions, please share them in the comments.
