I’ve received a lot of requests for a “party dress” video, so here it is! Instead of showcasing specific dresses, this guide focuses on different shapes and styles. If I can, I’ll try to follow up with more details soon.
Let’s start with a personal take on the dresses featured:
1. The first dress isn’t typically something I’d choose these days. Although I’m comfortable with my body, I’m not usually one to show a lot of skin. However, zipping up this dress gave me a burst of energy and excitement, which is a rare feeling amidst adult responsibilities like taxes and mortgage payments! I can envision myself wearing a short, fun dress during the Christmas holidays, perhaps for New Year’s Eve in Miami.
2. The second dress is a classic wrap dress, which I find incredibly easy to wear, especially when it’s a faux-wrap – no fuss with getting the crossover right! Wrap dresses come with various sleeve lengths and skirt lengths, offering something for everyone. While I enjoy a bold print, a black wrap dress can be very chic. Solid, bright colors might be overwhelming, but, as always, it’s about personal preference. This dress easily transitions from day to evening, perfect for going from work to a night out with some jewelry and heels.
3. Lastly, the fairy-floaty babydoll dress is quite versatile. Pair it with biker boots and a leather jacket, or heels and a faux-fur wrap. It’s great for showing off your legs while skimming over the tummy and hips. A silk version can be worn year-round, but if it’s short, look for a heavier hem to avoid wardrobe malfunctions.
I hope you enjoy the video. Please note any filming shakiness is thanks to Mr. AMR’s laughter. Unfortunately, due to some platform limitations, I can’t embed the video directly. You’ll have to click through to watch it.
A special thanks to TK Maxx for sponsoring this feature. They provided all three dresses:
– Dress 1 was £29.99
– Dress 2 was £100 (originally £400)
– Dress 3 was £169.99 (down from £700)
Also, the shoes featured are from TK Maxx, priced at £39.99 each, and I wore a size 6.
