Being an unrepentant shopper, I recently checked out what’s left in the Hush sale and picked up a couple of items. They’re just basic pieces to tide me over until summer ends while I’m holed up at my desk working on my dissertation and not really going out much. I opted for comfy, slouchy trousers in army green and a simple black t-shirt with the perfect scoop neckline. My other basics from Hush—like my wrap skirt, cotton dresses, and colorful sweaters—have been staples all spring and summer, so naturally, I’ve become a bit obsessed with their sales. Quality basics are essential for mixing and matching!
What do you think? Although it was a bit of an impulse buy (totaling £38, so not too bad!), I’m hopeful the trousers will come in handy. I really love how they drape at the front—very flattering—and I plan on rolling them up at the bottom. I can’t imagine styling them with ballet flats though; I’ll stick with sandals or flip-flops. The Veronica trousers come in a few different colors and have been reduced from £45 to £20.
I’m also very tempted by a hot pink skirt. I already have it in grey, and it’s been super handy—soft, easy to wear, yet just a bit sexy with that front dip. Do I really need another one? It’s now down from £50 to £25. For a bit of context, I usually go for a size 10 (or S-M) in Hush clothing, which matches my real-life size 10, so they seem pretty true to size.
Apologies for using images from the site, but I haven’t received my clothes yet! I’ll update once I do—I wanted to share now because I think the sale is nearing its end. Photos to come soon.
