This year’s award for the most comfortable fashion item, if that existed, would definitely go to the UGG Shezbie. These are the most genuinely comfortable high heels I’ve ever worn. They helped me survive two full days at London Fashion Week, which included walking on cobblestones and sprinting to catch a bus.
These boots feel like you’re wearing slippers. They’re fully lined with sheepskin and designed so you don’t put all your weight forward. You’re aware you’re wearing heels—the feeling isn’t the same as strutting around in your fluffy flats—but they don’t bring any major discomfort. Walking uphill instead of catching a bus doesn’t seem dreadful, and handling a puddle doesn’t require clinging to a passerby to keep from toppling over. In UGG Shezbie, everything just feels manageable.
Sure, they’re not suitable for an intense obstacle course or hiking up Ben Nevis, but for everyday outings around town, they’re perfect. Plus, they look stylish! Within ten minutes of arriving at the shows, I received three separate compliments on them. My enthusiastic response was, “They’re from UGG! Yes, the same UGG that makes UGG boots!” These boots pair fantastically with black skinny jeans and a leather jacket—my usual outfit—but they’ll be just as great with tights and dresses when it gets colder.
What do you think? If you’re near an UGG store, do try them on and let me know your thoughts. I bet you won’t want to take them off! You can find the Shezbie online for £195, though for some reason they’re priced at £280 on Amazon!
