I’ve started my sales shopping with more focus and planning than ever this year since I need to save up for crucial home renovations. It’s tempting to go wild with online deals when prices drop—no lines, no awkward fitting rooms. To stay on track, I made a list, and I’m happy to report I’ve checked off most items, like the jeans that fit me perfectly and my go-to tees and sweaters. I even treated myself to some lingerie based on recommendations.
Here’s my list in full:
1) Paige Verdugo Jeans in deep purple. I never tried colored jeans before, but I fell in love with these. They’re such an easy way to update casual outfits. The Paige Verdugo skinnies are my top pick—they fit well and are stretchy around the waist. They strike a balance between comfort and support. Originally £219, they’re now £109, still pricey but worth it since I live in jeans. Available at House of Fraser.
2) Zoe Karssen T-Shirt: I’ve been eyeing this tee for months, hoping it would go on sale. It was, with a decent discount, and it’s the softest t-shirt I own. It pairs nicely with the Paige jeans. Found it on Net-a-Porter.
3) Another pair from Paige—I nab Verdugo deals whenever I can, and these cords were irresistible. Size 27 fits me perfectly (though a bit snug post-holidays!). They hit just above the ankle, which might be shorter for taller folks but look chic with heels. These were £190, now £95. I’m tempted to get the blue ones too, as my current pair is well-worn.
4) A lingerie splurge: Initially skipped the pricey neon set from Agent Provocateur for a more budget-friendly Boux Avenue piece. The Boux set is fantastic—comfy with great lift. But I couldn’t resist the neon green AP set at 50% off. It hasn’t arrived yet, so I’ll update you soon. There are many great sales on similar items in the meantime.
5) Still on my wishlist: some quality, relaxed cashmere and soft sweatshirts. And, I’m eyeing a Helmut Lang dress. It’s not on sale exactly but discounted on The Outnet. It’s stunning with its draping and the combined casual tee top and twill skirt. Should I get it? Could I style it? We’ll see.
I’ll keep you posted as I make more purchases (or returns) and might even do a video if I manage to organize myself. Share your sales must-haves in the comments, and let me know if you find any lovely cashmere or soft sweaters!
