Since Christmas, I’ve been proud of myself for avoiding all the sales. I took a deep dive into my wardrobe, having an honest conversation with myself about what I actually wear and what’s just gathering dust with tags still attached. I seem to be drawn to glamorous, sparkly, silky outfits, but in reality, I barely wear them. The clothes I do wear often are quality cotton basics, good denim, and lovely knitwear.
This year, I didn’t even glance at Net-a-Porter, or check out the sales at Selfridges, Whistles, or even Topshop. Instead, I focused all my attention on one sale: Hush. Their pieces are a staple for me, no matter the season. In the summer, I wear their relaxed, lightweight dresses and shorts, while in the winter, I love their heavy cardigans and sweaters with my jeans or layered over skirts and dresses.
I’ve decided to order the Two Tone Sloppy Joe Dress, which I already have in white and grey and absolutely love, the Chunky Waterfall Cardigan in grey (I use the multicolor one all the time), the Honeycomb Pyjama Bottoms, and the Long Length Tank for its practicality. Some items I already own and highly recommend include the Wool Mix Trousers, the Splice Dress, and the Winter Plaid Pyjamas. If you’re looking for a small treat, the bed socks and eye mask are really sweet and both are reduced in the sale.
Alright, I’m off to make my purchase!
