Lately, I’ve been writing a lot about fashion, probably because I can finally wear my clothes without needing to lie down or use a shoehorn to squeeze my tummy into my trousers. It’s much more enjoyable shopping online when you know you’ll actually be able to wear what you buy. Just a few months ago, I was searching for clothes that were comfortable for breastfeeding and didn’t have tight waistbands.
Moving houses and dealing with a sleepless baby have helped burn off some of the baby weight that was sticking around. However, I must admit, I don’t feel particularly fit or healthy. I really need to find time for some exercise, even if it’s just an hour a week. It’s nice to fit into my clothes again, but it’s equally important to be healthy inside.
I plan to focus on exercise once we settle into our new place, I’ve caught up on sleep, and the hectic Christmas period is over. Starting a healthy eating or exercise routine before Christmas just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s not that I eat a lot more during Christmas, but I tend to make some poor and sugary food choices. (Honestly, I could wear a loose t-shirt with “bad and sugary food choices” printed on it!)
Anyway, let’s dive into my Autumn wardrobe picks. Here are some of the standout pieces I’ve chosen this season. I’ll probably revisit a few favorite items next week. Some are real gems, especially the Bella Freud shirt.
