Inspired by Chanel’s vibrant Neapolis makeup line, I’ve been searching online for items to add some color and vibrancy to my wardrobe, which is mostly shades of grey and denim. Though I’ll dedicate a full post to Chanel’s Spring Summer 2018 Makeup Collection soon, I must admit that while stunningly bold, it’s not the most practical range of colors for everyday wear. The collection captures the essence of a lively summer day in Naples, but it’s far from typical neutral shades.
In the meantime, I’ve been exploring for bright tops and accessories to lift my fashion spirits. Think sunny yellow shirts and vivid pink heels that will pop against tanned skin come summer. There are some amazing deals out there, like Hush’s acid-colored raglan tops on sale, and their comfy, yet stylish Alexis trousers, perfect for a sporty-chic look with their gold side stripes.
The cozy sweater I’m wearing in the photos is from Karen Millen. It cost £85 and pairs well with both a cinch-waist skirt and jeans. Karen Millen offers a range of items with color-blocking and bold patterns—ideal for adding optimism to anyone’s wardrobe. I’m even considering starting to gradually tan my face in anticipation of sunnier days.
If you’re curious about my nails, I’m wearing Chanel’s longwear nail polish from the Neapolis collection in the shade Verde Pastello.
