Dr Teal’s bath salts are so impressive that I’ve just placed another order. It might seem obvious to buy more of something you like, but with my bathroom shelves packed with products waiting to be tried—bottles of bath oils, tubes of body creams, enormous jars of Epsom salts—it takes a special kind of product to make me overlook that lineup and spend more money.
Not that Dr Teal’s is pricey— I recently bought a large 3lb bag of Dr Teal’s Soaking Solution on Amazon for just £7.99, with free Prime delivery. I considered setting up a monthly subscription, but they don’t offer it. It’s probably for the best, as I’m terrible at managing such orders—I run out of cat food and litter but have an absurd surplus of dog food and toddler pull-up pants.
Dr Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Soaking Solution is my go-to for bath salts, and I doubt anything will surpass it soon. These salts help me achieve the best sleep I’ve had in years—deep and uninterrupted. Though not ideal when you have little ones, I only use the salts when there’s another adult at home, like Mr. AMR, who also uses the salts. Interestingly, he remains unaffected by sleep inducers, be it bath salts or nighttime medicine. But while he seems immune, Dr Teal’s sends me into a profound slumber, oblivious to my surroundings.
I’ve been trying the Detoxify & Energize version, featuring Ginger & Clay. While I’m unsure about the specific effects of these added ingredients, I don’t mind, as a soak in Dr Teal’s leaves me completely relaxed and ready for sleep.
I’m familiar with the power of Epsom salt, which always knocks me out, and they’re available cheaply online in large quantities. Though Dr Teal’s isn’t as plain or affordable as bulk options, I appreciate the added fragrance and hint of oil. You could use cheaper, simple salts and then enhance them with quality oils like those from Aromatherapy Associates, but that extra step seems too much for me.
The scent of Dr Teal’s Detoxify & Energize, with its ginger and clay, evokes the image of a well-groomed older gentleman. It brings to mind a character like Superintendent Ted Hastings from “Line Of Duty,” exuding cleanliness and a hint of aftershave.
For an amazing night’s sleep, mix a generous portion of Dr Teal’s salts in a warm bath, soak before bed, and then go straight to sleep without any tech distractions. You can find Dr Teal’s Soaking Solution online. There’s also a lavender version, reportedly potent enough to warrant a humorous delay in delivery.
