This silk shirt dress from Michael Kors is definitely going to be a staple in my wardrobe this summer. It’s smart and well-structured, yet light and breezy—ideal for those days when you have to look good, but the heat is unbearable. Most of my hot weather dresses are cotton and quite basic, so having a more polished option is a great idea!
I’ve paired it with these fun candy-stripe ribbon wedges from UGG and a sleek white leather clutch from Michael Kors. It gives a nod to the nautical theme with all the navy, white, and red stripes, but the dress also has a unique vibe of its own. Perhaps a little safari-inspired? Maybe a touch of military with its gold buttons and rolled-up sleeves? The leather belt is included with the dress, and there’s a specific way to loop it casually that even comes with an instruction card to avoid any styling mishaps!
Everything except the sunglasses is from the online fashion store Zalando. The Michael Kors Dolman dress is currently on sale for £215, down from £250. The UGG striped wedges are £120, and the Michael Kors Daria Clutch is £125. The Daria comes in several colors, and I’m particularly fond of the hot pink and coral options. Each piece in the outfit can also be paired with other items. The dress looks fantastic with both flat sandals and heels, and the UGG wedges add a cheerful touch to any outfit. You just can’t help but feel good when you’re walking around in bright red stripes!
Zalando asked me to put together and style this summer outfit from their online store. I had never shopped there before, but I was pleasantly surprised by their wide range of brands at various price points—from high street to high-end. It’s a bit like having The Outnet and ASOS on the same page. You can search for something like “black shoes,” and find options ranging from £12 to over £800. I like this way of shopping because it allows you to decide where to splurge and where to save. Plus, you can get a £10 voucher if you sign up for their newsletters.
