I’ve noticed that every time I drink Green Tea and then hop online, I end up spending a lot more money than I planned. From my personal research, it seems like this habit significantly increases my chances of splurging. Take last night’s ASOS shoe sale, for example. Nothing caught my eye, but this morning I filled my cart with £596 worth of shoes. After some thought, I trimmed it down to around £220 and hit “Confirm” on Paypal.
Thankfully, I can return whatever I don’t like, as I’m quite efficient with returns thanks to the Premier service. Within about four working days, I can order and send back items hassle-free. Here’s what I bought, all of which can be returned if needed:
1) Chinese Laundry Studded Sandals – These have a rock ‘n roll vibe with the studs but also look elegant. The platform makes them moderately comfy without being too over-the-top. Originally £169, I got them for £98.
2) French Sole Pumps – These are classic ballet pumps and a worthy investment. I love my pair from Office, but these have a more delicate style. They were £57, down from £95.
3) Carvela Pumps – Just a touch of sparkle for Christmas. They’re not leather, which I usually prefer, but they’re fun and affordable at £25, down from £60.
4) Carvela Lucy Sandals – More glitter with a retro feel, thanks to the black trim. The sole seems a bit cheap, so I might send them back. They were £48, reduced from £120.
