Someone kindly informed me that Whistles is offering a 20% discount on everything, including the beautiful Lola dress I recently wore while visiting France. I mentioned wanting to get it in khaki, so I jumped at the chance when I heard about the sale. However, the khaki version is an “order from store” item, so I’m waiting for them to call me back. Luckily, it’s available online in black, orange, and navy, all reduced to £76 from £95.
The dress has a relaxed fit with a cleverly designed cut that cinches in the right areas, making it flattering rather than shapeless. It’s the perfect dress to throw on and looks great with sandals, boots, or even Stan Smith sneakers! The black version is especially chic—I’m considering getting a backup—but I do love a bit of khaki for a little extra flair. If you can call khaki a splash of color!
I’m also eyeing a few other items, but I’ll wait to order them all together once they call me back: the bardot top, the striped Josie dress, and the double dot print Hannah dress. There are many tempting options, but I need to hold back since I’m still justifying the single-wear Cannes dress from Issa. Although, to be fair, it’s not really a one-time wear, as I could possibly use it for a few upcoming weddings. That said, it poses some challenges—it’s quite low cut and my boobs tend to pop out unexpectedly, plus its lengthy design is a legitimate tripping hazard.
