You know you’re really in love with a bag when your photo gallery has over thirty pictures of it! I chuckled when I saw the L.K.Bennett Pearl tote “posing” in different spots—like with a watering can, on the wooden floor, and even on the woodpile.
Seriously, this handbag is truly gorgeous. The pastel yellow leather is perfect for summer, and the heart-shaped quilting adds a touch of beauty. It combines a ladylike sophistication with a cute charm—smart enough for work, yet also perfect for a casual weekend outfit with jeans and a t-shirt.
Inside, there are different organizer sections that are super handy for those of us who carry around lots of notebooks, papers, pens, and the like. The bag feels really secure, featuring a spacious central zipped pocket and flatter pockets on the sides, which are ideal for keeping papers flat or storing a tablet or e-reader. I even managed to fit a pair of heels—just barely!—in the main pocket, alongside my keys and some makeup. In the side pockets, I kept my organizer, Kindle, notepad, wallet, some candy, my iPhone, and sunglasses. Although, I did have to use a small fabric sleeve for the sunglasses instead of their bulky case.
In short, I crammed almost everything I’d usually carry in a larger bag, but had to be a bit strategic about how I packed.
So, it’s a fantastic bag for just about anyone, whether you’re flying to business meetings overseas or heading out for a quick lunch. I’m about to test it as a baby-changing bag too and see how many diapers and wipes it can hold. If I find a thin changing mat that fits into one of the outer pockets, I’ll be thrilled!
