The latest issue of TWO Magazine has arrived, featuring the first fashion story I shot in Palm Springs. I transformed into a cowgirl for the day at Joshua Tree National Park—it was all in a day’s work!
You probably recognize this Hush dress since I’ve worn it countless times (I absolutely adore it), but I want to highlight the incredible cowboy boots I’m sporting. They have cute little heart-shaped cutouts in the leather! We used Durango boots for nearly every shot because they fit perfectly and had a worn-in, vintage look—definitely a plus, since nobody wants gleaming cowboy boots. In my opinion, they should be scuffed up and dusty!
Take a look at these beauties: they’re kitschy and over-the-top—a real hit. I believe cowboy boots look best when paired with lots of leg, though that’s just my preference. I occasionally wear them with jeans, but I aim to avoid looking like I’m trying to be a cowboy. Instead, I like to add a bit of flair to steer clear of the “costume party” vibe. Tanned legs, soft cotton, and bronzed makeup are my ideal accessories for cowboy boots.
I’ve written about Durango Boots before, so you can find more details there. To see the full magazine spread, you can subscribe for free to TWO Magazine.
