Here’s something for shoe enthusiasts—if shoes aren’t your thing, feel free to move on. The 2014 Cruise Collection from Jimmy Choo is launching later this year, and I wanted to highlight a few styles that seem both comfy and stylish. For those who usually think of Jimmy Choo as synonymous with sky-high stilettos, these new designs might just change your mind.
The collection includes wedges, chunky platforms, and a brand-new heel height that’s a blend of retro and futuristic flair. This mid-height heel is quite a shift for Jimmy Choo, and I suspect it will be a hit. Picture elegant women strolling around Cannes or Monaco in these shoes, paired with silk shirt dresses and tiny dogs in tow. They’re perfect for yacht club outings, sea-front walks, or navigating back home after enjoying a bit too much Rosé. For the rest of us, they’re ideal for cobblestone streets, avoiding puddles, and sprinting for the number 55 bus.
These boots deserve special mention for their beautiful detailing. The caramel suede would look stunning against bare summer legs, and the gold heel is a brilliant touch. The collection also features fantastic flats and mid-heels for everyday elegance. But if you’re a fan of classic Jimmy Choo, don’t worry—there are plenty of pencil heels and towering shoes to choose from.
I’m particularly fond of the pumps with contrasting toe details, especially the silver toe on the black pumps and the coral toe on the white ones. This small detail adds a dash of interest to a classic shoe shape, making them look even sleeker. Just imagine slipping these on with well-fitted jeans and a classic blazer to achieve a chic, polished look.
The Cruise Collection is set to hit stores this November.
